Adapting

July 19th, 2017 Im sitting in a tro-tro commuting to my first Pro-link internship day out in the field. I'm going to a side of Accra that's totally new to me. Although I've been in this city for nearly 4 weeks now, with just one weekend venture out of town (to Cape Coast), this urban... Continue Reading →

Ashanti Region

July 21-23, 2017 Photos from Kumasi: Learned about Adinkra Symbols and the stages of ink processing. They are often used in funeral contexts and represent the spirit of the departed person. Originally I was due to arrive at the end of August, but the fall program I'd intended to study with was cancelled (not enough people signed up) so I decide to go with the same program... Wrapping up Swiss-land

Wow. I am very very late on this update so I apologize for the suspense. But, here's the closing scoop on my Swiss experience. First, a quick recap of my final week in Europe (post-program): I spent about 8 days in Croatia where I solo traveled through Dubrovnik, Zadar, the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Krka...
